Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Southeast/Hammond, IN

The front desk staff and breakfast attendant have all been outstanding with great customer service skills. They made us feel comfortable and they were always gracious to accommodate with any needs we might have. Our room was fabulous, ground level, full kitchen pots and pans dishes. We had two queen beds, a living room a dining area, two bathrooms and a pull out sofa bed. My wife is handicapped traveling with a medical alert service dog. Hotel was quick to accommodate without questions fee for animal-medical assisted dogs are $0.00, however traveling with pets... (1) One dog per room. Max per room each under 70 lb is $100.00 per stay, non-refundable. No deposit fee required. Hotel has pet relief stations situated throughout the property with pet poop bags and disposal containers located conveniently. Hot Breakfast is served from 6:00 a.m. to 9 a.m. daily. Indoor heated pool, indoor gym, Mail, packages and deliveries are accepted at the front desk unless otherwise directed. Rooms are non-smoking, non vaping there is a service charge to return room back to non-smoking non vaping conditions. Laundry services located on property. Housekeeping is not daily, housekeeping is provided every so many days or upon request. Ice machine and buckets, soft drinks and a few snacks are sold in the lobby area. Located off of lobby area. Safety... No situation with regards to safety and no situation with regards to our vehicles. Please come stay at the residence Inn by Marriott. Prices are affordable and conveniently priced.

We had an excellent stay & really appreciated the spacious rooms, the full sized stove & fridge, & that we could have our dog. Made our stay great !

In all Fairness, I gave the rooms 3 stars because they were renovating. My room, in particular, was not being renovated, but most of the hotel was. As far as comfort, the staff was amazing, the bed was comfortable, but the room above me was under construction, so all I heard was constant banging. The people across the hall were having a party and they were disruptive one night but otherwise I would recommend this hotel. There is a cracker barrel restaurant right next door ( you can walk there), the hotel offers breakfast every morning so you don't have to go out. There is a pool, laundry room, and small workout room available. I didn't take advantage of some of those amenities because I was only there temporarily. Overall, I would recommend a stay here.

Great friendly staff. Rooms always clean and the location is great . Just off of I 94 in Hammond.

I stayed here while working at the BP Whiting plant for about 4 weeks. It is very convenient for a longer stay because of the kitchen in the room. Full-size fridge with top freezer. Friendly and helpful staff. They were updating a lot of the amenities during my stay. Once they complete these updates, this will be a very nice hotel for the long-stay customer. One note! They are also updating the grilling area and replacing the gas grill. Great space for the outdoor cooker.

Amazing room at a great price! Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. Getting checked in was a little slow, and they didn't have cribs after being told on the phone that they do. (I called customer service after and got compensated for that.) Otherwise, I'd definitely recommend this location! We even got a beautiful sunset over the frozen lake from our window!

Okay. Overall, this hotel is solid. Good breakfast, nice staff, and rooms were nice. However. Be aware of the body soap in the shower. No, it doesn’t spy on. Haha Rather, it literally turned my skin so dry I looked like a snake. Please see photos. The brand that Residence Inn uses is called North 39 degrees. I generally am not someone who has sensitive skin. But man, it was bad. I had to go buy lotion because the dryness was SO BAD. And the dryness hit like a few hours after showering. So. Take that for what it is. :)

Everything was top notch. Room was nicer than most hotels. Not only was there a cooktop in the kitchen area, their were dishes and glasses and a dishwasher to wash them in. Breakfast was on a higher level than the average hotel. The food was restaurant quality. The best thing about breakfast was the fact that you were allowed to take your meal to your room to eat. Pool looked awesome. I didnt get a chance to go swimming. Next time im in the area the Residence Inn will be my first choice.
